The Wilderness Society is holding an event for those of us who understand the importance of ecology to our existence!

Every decade, the World Parks Congress holds a meeting, and I dare say that many countries, particularly Australia, will be in its sights!

Attend this free forum and grill our political & environmental leaders on how they plan to deliver in this important policy field!

I will be there, and I hope you will be too!

Stand up for nature!

Sunday, 16 November 2014 – 11:00am to 1:00pm

Australian governments are dramatically stripping back environmental laws as part of a radical agenda. Here in NSW, we have seen our precious farmlands and forests turned into industrial gasfields and coal mines, our marine parks gutted, and politicians willing to sell off our natural assets for a quick buck.

The eyes of the world will be on Sydney in November for the World Parks Congress – the world’s most important conservation meeting held every 10 years. We’ve partnered with environment groups from across the country to hold this FREE mega-event to shine an international spotlight on Australian governments’ environmental records.

Seats are limited! To guarantee your space, reserve your free ticket here, otherwise arrive early on the day. You can also phone to reserve a ticket during business hours on (02) 8256 2222.

The details:

Sunday 16 November 2014, 11am – 1pm
City Recital Hall, Angel Place, Sydney CBD

  • Anne Kennedy, Farmer from Coonamble, near the Pilliga

Be part of this critical event about the future of nature in Australia. Hear our political leaders detail their vision, be inspired by current community actions and find out how you can create positive change. Can’t be there in person? That’s ok, you can join the conversation on twitter using #stand4nature.

Together, we can all stand up for nature.

We can’t wait to see you there. Get your tickets for the free event now!
